The Committee educates in-house counsel as to the existence and purposes of the Section, and the resources available to in-house counsel through the Section. The Committee works to make high-quality CLE that is of special interest to in-house counsel available. The Committee believes these efforts will lead to the increased involvement of in-house counsel in the Section. For the last three years, the Committee has hosted a "Corporate Counsel Seminar" providing 3.0 hours of CLE (including 1.0 hours of ethics) to in-house lawyers and Section members. The Committee's Corporate Counsel Seminar is held in May or June and rotates among the major legal markets in Texas (Houston in 2009, Austin in 2010, and Dallas in 2011). The Committee will host the Seminar again in 2012, and all in-house lawyers and Section members are invited to attend free of charge.
